Valentine’s Day 2012
So while we are on the topic of things in miniature, let us chat about tiny hearts.
A few nights before Valentine’s Day, I was out on my almost-nightly walk with the kids and we were having one of those typical Mommy/Kid chats. Awhile back, I gave each one of the kids a mason jar to put all those weird little things that kids like to collect in….rocks, stickers that aren’t sticky anymore, sequins, beads…whatever would fit in there. So we were walking down the street and I was asking them if they thought it would be okay to empty them out so we can start things fresh. My kids, like most, think everything is precious. If I let them keep it all, we would have mason jars filled with “stuff” all over the house.
So, my son got all excited and said, “All I want in my jar is a heart of pure gold. I know that doesn’t make sense, but that is what I want.”
Of course, I love when he says weird stuff like this…it’s stuff like this that prompted me to make the Blue Elephant Robot.
They got this as a valentine at home this year.
